ARCA Menards Series driver Daniel Dye was suspended indefinitely by the sanctioning body on Wednesday. He violated section 12-8.1.E.2 of the 2022 ARCA rulebook.

The 18-year-old was recently arrested in Volusia County, Florida on Tuesday. He was charged with a felony battery charge.

He allegedly punched a teammate in the groin, according to Yahoo! Sports. The police report says Dye was dancing and “squealing” at a male classmate.

The classmate was unhappy with Dye’s actions and walked away. When he did this, Dye allegedly punched him in the groin.

The victim reportedly suffered a possible ruptured testicle. He was sent to a specialist for further examination.

Dye faces up to five years in prison if convicted. His client claims Dye will be “completely cleared” when the “details come to light”.

The racing driver drives full-time for the GMS Racing team. It leads to entrance No. 43.

He was currently second in the points standings at the time of his arrest. He finished 17th last weekend at Talladega Superspeedway.
