While there had been earlier reports that the film was a sports film, the director, who had previously assisted Rajesh Pillai in films such as Traffic, told us, “It’s a story about the relationship between a husband and wife. Sports are only a minor aspect of this and it comes into play because Kunchacko’s character was active in athletics from a young age and still participates in sporting events at the age we would show him. He is a sports enthusiast who is currently working. as part of the Kolkata tram.
The film, which is set entirely in Calcutta, has Nithya Menen as Kunchacko’s wife. “At the heart of the film is the couple’s mutually supportive relationship and their initiatives,” says Shaheed, who also wrote the film.
The team is currently finalizing the rest of the cast for the yet-untitled film, which will be released in the next two months. The film is produced by E4 Entertainment.
Kunchacko, meanwhile, has Allu Ramendran coming up while Nithya finished filming two Mollywood films – Praana by VK Prakash and Kolaambi by TK Rajeevkumar.
