Despite our best efforts, Las Vegas gets another professional sports team, the Vegas Knight
Hawks.

It’s indoor football, so don’t get too excited.

Well done to Sylvester Stallone and anyone else who doesn’t know why this deserves a shout out.

If the name of the Vegas Knight Hawks sounds familiar to you, it’s because the Las Vegas hockey team is called the Vegas Golden Knights.

Both teams are owned by billionaire Bill Foley.

Vegas Knight Hawks to play at Dollar Loan Center under construction, positive proof
some naming rights deals are not worth it, regardless of the amount of revenue generated.

On the plus side, predatory loans now have an advantage: more places to play sports!

The Dollar Loan Center is located in Henderson, Nevada, so we’re not even sure if we have to report this news as Vegas-related, but we’ll just play along.

The Dollar Loan Center will also host the Henderson Silver Knights, another professional
hockey team that plays in the AHL (American Hockey League), a league for players who dream every night of playing in the NHL. Are we doing the sports analysis well?

Bill Foley (pictured below) also owns the Henderson Silver Knights.

Bill Foley

Raiders owner Mark Davis has done a lot for Vegas sports, but Bill Foley did it without tax dollars, so he’s winning.

The Vegas Knight Hawks announcement came with a glorious description of the brand, obviously written by someone who took more than a few checks to their heads.

Relax on the history of the brand, my brother, it’s sport.

The first head coach of the Vegas Knight Hawks will be Mike Davis. He has solid credentials and also worked for five years with the Arena Football League where he was the general manager of Omaha Beef. We don’t do that.

The Arena Football League filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and closed in 2019,
leading to the obvious question “Where’s the beef?” “

This joke would have killed in 1984.

Indoor football has a long and glorious history of not being particularly popular or successful.

It’s fun to read up on the history of indoor football, as long as you’re not too specific about how the word ‘fun’ is defined.

It’s hard to imagine Las Vegas having additional demand for the sport, but Bill Foley seems
have good instincts for such things. No one thought hockey would be successful in Las Vegas, and it is now a given for the locals. Tourists really don’t care, but still.

If the Vegas Golden Knights fail, we understand Bill Foley has proactively trademarked for another team
name, the Vegas Folds.

Ha, we laugh because we love! Ha, we’re joking too!

Here’s an interesting twist: IFL players get around $ 300 per game, with a $ 25 bonus if they’re on the winning team.

This is how you make a profit with indoor football.

Well done to George Costanza.

Season tickets start at just $ 10. We think it’s a price per game, even if it’s indoor football, then.

It may come as a surprise that we are not personally an athlete, but we would never blame someone for an activity that brings them joy. Unless someone likes to use paper straws. We are ashamed of it.

Join us in welcoming the Vegas Knight Hawks to Las Vegas.

Whether their sidelines are well padded, their goal posts the size of a baby, their one-footed entrances and slight concussions.
