BOY’S TENNIS
Columbus North Invitation
The Bulldogs finished 3rd of three teams at the Columbus North Invitational on Saturday. The boys’ tennis team faced the Providence Pioneers in their 1st round match and lost 1-4. The No. 2 doubles team of Alec Bunselmeier and Sam Johnson collected the only point for the Bulldogs and progressed as a doubles team to 8-0 that year. Jaden Smith suffered his first loss of the season and is now 7-1 individually. It was a tough game at every position. Cael Rahe @ 1 singles and the doubles team of Cole Pride and Jackson Tracy all won their first set but ultimately lost in 3 sets. Batesville Record: 6-2 (2-1 in the EIAC)
Next, the Columbus North Bulldogs ranked # 2. In the Batesville second round game, we battled fierce competition. We lost 0-5 but the boys fought hard, played with a lot of pace and much looser than usual. We’re down to 6-3 this year and face conference rival East Central on Monday.
