2021 NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster Champion Rachel Meyer previously said during her appearance on The Capital Sports Report LIVE that she will not be competing this year. Now we know why.
Meyer announced that she was pregnant. She is expecting a baby in October 2021.
“Surprise,” Meyer said in an Instagram post. “Baby Curl is coming in October. [This is] also why am I sitting this year with the booze car. Any guesses on gender? »

Currently, the couple, who married last year, have two children. This will be their third child.
Meyer recently took part in a race in late March in a truck.
“This season I’m going to take a step back,” Meyer said on The Capital Sports Report LIVE with Ladies Night on Feb. 28. “I’m going to focus on my support car and bring my two little kids in their Jr. Dragsters. I hope to be back next year, but this season I’m going to take a short break.
Although Meyer is not competing in Top Alcohol Dragster this season, her teammate Julie Nataas will try to keep the championship on the team. Randy Meyer Racing has won three consecutive Top Alcohol Dragster Championships.

Megan Meyer (now Megan Lingner) won the championships in 2019 and 2020. Then Rachel Meyer won the championship in 2021.
