The Poker Sports League is ready to launch its fourth season powered by Fair Play News. The Player Selection Ceremony came to a close last week, with an extravagant and exciting Player Auction at Deltin Royale and broadcast live for the first time. Adda52 is the online partner of PSL season 4. This season, special attention has been paid to upcoming qualifiers as well as key professional players, with high investment bids and large holds that will make this season more exciting.

This season’s selection ceremony saw six teams representing six different Indian provinces, namely Delhi Czars, Deccan Aces, Goan Nuts, Gujarat Falcons, Mumbai Anchors and Kolkata Kings. Defending champions Deccan Aces and other teams have invested heavily in qualifying more than professional players, giving new talent the much-needed boost to play.

A total of 36 qualified, 12 pro-players will be part of this season. In addition to these, they have six places for women and six for substitutes

Akshay Nasa, a professional Mumbai Anchors player was retained from the previous season for Rs. 3,50,500 including one of the highest this season. Aligning with Gender Equality PSL Season 4 spared no effort to encourage female players to play each season. Niharika Bindra of Kolkata Kings was one such inspirational player who was bought with an offer of Rs. 3,45,000. A separate player spot has been designed into the squad composition this season, which further reinforces the purpose of this league and sets gender standards.

Speaking about PSL Season 4 and welcoming players aboard, Poker Sports League CEO and Founder Pranav Bagai said: “Poker is here to stay and is on the path to growth and we are excited to lead this league into a Phygital format this year. Having witnessed a remarkable response in previous seasons, the Player Selection Ceremony is a testament to the magnificence of this league and what players can look forward to this season. The unprecedented time of the pandemic has left us wanting more and we’re thrilled to be back physically for our season finale. Poker is a game of skill, concentration and skill. Our goal will be to give all new players, especially new qualifiers, a platform where they can discover and improve themselves. We have witnessed high bids for these players, confirming our confidence in the new talents of our country.

The Virtual League, powered by Fairplay News will start on March 29 and will continue until April 13. Deltin Royale and Adda 52 have been announced as Site Partners and Online Partners respectively for this season.
