This injury can cause Russell to miss several games. It could be worse depending on the tests that will determine the severity of the injury.

The Timberwolves are expected to have an update on his condition after the game.

Jordan McLaughlin started the second half for Russell. If Russell can’t make it into the next few games, McLaughlin will likely start in his place.

The Timberwolves are already without point guard Patrick Beverly with an injury.

Russell played 16 minutes in the game before the injury. He only had three points against the Magic.

He’s already missed a game this season. He missed the team’s Oct. 14 game against the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center.
